Toko-Pa offers teaching on her acclaimed new book "Belonging: Finding Our Way Home".
Toko-pa, was a name given to her by her parents. They chose it from a book of poems called Technicians of the Sacred, by Jerome Rothenberg. Toko-pa is a deity in the Maori creation myth, known as the “Parent of the Mist.” Toko-pa has come to think of that mist as the veil between the worlds, seen and unseen. Indeed, her life is a devotion to repairing the bridge between the dreaming and waking worlds.
Toko-pa Turner is a Canadian writer, teacher, and dreamworker who blends the mystical tradition of Sufism with a Jungian approach to dreams.
She is the author of the award-winning Belonging: Finding Our Way Home. Sometimes called a Midwife of the Psyche, Toko-pa's work focuses on restoring the feminine, reciprocity with nature, honouring grief, ritual, and making beauty. She lives on a small island in the Salish Sea of British Columbia.
